Tony Martin Death: 27-year-old Roderick Barnes has been found guilty of Saginaw gas station murder in July, reports say.
Barnes who arrested in September in connection to the shooting death of Tony Martin, 19 and Ricky Morgan, 22 on 19th July 2020 at the Sunoco gas station on East Genesee Avenue. He was found guilty by a jury on a two-counts of second-degree murder and firearm offenses.
An unidentified woman also sustained non-life threatening injuries during the altercation stemmed shooting. Police say one of the victim’s, Martin was a former Saginaw High School long jump champion, who set a state record in 2019. He had completed his freshman year as a member of the Michigan State University track and field team when he was shot and killed.
Barnes sentencing is scheduled for January.
