Scientists from the University of Warwick have identified some of the most common behaviors of aggressive drivers, and say this will help self-driving vehicles detect road users.
In their study, published in the journal Accident Analysis and Prevention, the researchers analyzed the results of 34 published studies on road rage. From these results, the researchers were able to identify the main types of aggressive driving behaviors, including that aggressive drivers drive faster than others, and make 2.5 times more mistakes. The findings could also help advance autonomous driving technologies.
