Eric Braxton Death: Philadelphia police say 42-year-old Miles Jones ha on Monday been charged of first-degree-murder, reckless endangering another person, possession of firearm without license and possession of instrument of crime.

The incident happened on the 19th of October 2019. Investigation show the suspect was involved in an argument with his girlfriend during a camping trip at the Homestead Campgrounds in West Rockhill Township.

15 persons, including friends and relatives of the Philadelphia man’s girlfriend went to the camp trip. The unidentified girlfriend reportedly asked Jones to exit the tent they were sharing leading to argument. As Jones exited the tent, he turned over another tent, shared by two other men who were on the same camping trip.

The two men identified as 41-year-old Eric Braxton, of Philadelphia and 46-year-old Arthur Hill, of Philadelphia. Hill’s two sons were also with him at the time, the men tried to persuade Jones to calm down, but Jones pushed Hill. One of Hill’s sons then punched Jones, knocking him to the ground. The men walked Jones to his girlfriend’s car as they tried to calm him down. Jones brought out a 9mm handgun and shot Braxton in the chest. The other campers fled into the woods for safety. Jones then shot Hill in the back as he tried to escape.

The two men were pronounced dead at the scene. Jones next court arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.
