The catastrophic collapse of a building in Alexandria resulted in the death of six people and the injury of five others, after the completion of the search work by the civil protection forces in extracting the dead and injured from the bottom of the collapsed property, and the necessary measures were taken regarding the incident.
Details of the deaths come after the collapse of a four-storey (aqar) building in the Wardian area, west of Alexandria Governorate, in the early hours of Friday morning.
"Sky News Arabia" quoted a local official as saying: "3 people were rescued from under the rubble of the building, their health condition has not been established yet," indicating that others are being searched for.
And the concerned authorities in Alexandria Governorate received a notification from the Police Rescue of the collapse of a property in Al-Talafari Street in Al-Wardian area in the Mina Al-Basal Police Department, which is affiliated with the West District of the governorate.
The head of the West Alexandria neighborhood, Sahar Shaaban, who was present at the site of the accident, said: Immediately after receiving the communication, the leaders of the governorate, civil defense agencies, and ambulances moved to the property site to search for survivors, indicating that the property completely collapsed, and preliminary information indicated that there were less than 10 people who lived in it. Intensifying the search for others, and the devices will not leave the place until after making sure that there are no victims under the rubble.
He pointed out that the property is old and dilapidated, consisting of a ground floor and three high floors, and a removal decision was issued for it since 2018.
