Mary Smuin Death – Cause of Death – The woman who was killed in a Uintah County crash on Tuesday morning, 16th of November 2021, has been identified as 67-year-old Mary Smuin of Vernal. According to police report, a Jeep Cherokee was moving west on US-40 at milepost 139 around 11:16 a.m. when it collided with a Dodge Ram pickup traveling east on US-40.
Authorities said the pickup had drifted off-center and struck the Jeep head-on. The driver of the Jeep later identified as Mary, was killed on impact and the driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Investigations are still ongoing.
