Saddened to hear of @antonstrout’s passing. I knew him from author panels, cons & Drinklings, but mostly from his wonderful @OandFPodcast. Every time I was on the show, we would spend an hour recording and 90 minutes laughing and shooting the shit. Rest in peace my friend.

Woke up to the news that fantasy writer @antonstrout died yesterday, at the age of 50, leaving behind his wife and their grade-school-age twins. I knew him from countless times hanging out at the Gen Con Writer’s Symposium. I’ll miss his laugh, which was always in easy reach.

I’m just utterly stunned to hear that Anton Strout has passed away. I first met him on a panel, and he was lovely, generous, and extremely encouraging. How heartbreaking for his family, children, and many friends.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Anton Strout. He spent extra time with my wife and I discussing publishing and writing and, well, all of life’s little weirdness, after a panel at the last Gen Con Writers Symposium. What a great soul who obviously cared about people. RIP

It is always difficult to establish a relationship with me, but Anton Strout was one of those who did. He teased me for being an hour late to his book signing but also remembered me.
He was also one of my goals, to get good enough to be one of his guests.
I’ll miss him. pic.twitter.com/YnSZ9Cr23E

@AfronerdRadio Not sure if you are familiar with Anton Strout. Urban fantasy author and he died today. He was a friend of a friend. This year can’t end soon enough.
