The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has approved the launch of the third national campaign for charitable work during the blessed month of Ramadan. And charity within the framework of his honorable position’s keenness on the various groups benefiting from charitable work, coinciding with the wide turnout of benefactors witnessed in the holy month.
On this occasion, Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Ehsan platform, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud. Their great care for charitable work, and the great support they give to charitable works in all its aspects, based on their keenness and interest – may God preserve them – to enable support to reach those who deserve it with the highest levels of efficiency and reliability through the Ihsan platform, noting the unlimited support that the Ihsan platform finds for charitable work from His Highness The Crown Prince is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, as part of his support for the development of the non-profit sector in the Kingdom.
Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi said: The platform has been blessed with more services, programs and advantages that were successively issued throughout the year. Which contributed to enabling the delivery of support to those who deserve it according to safe and reliable donation processes, and the access of a large segment of donors to various charitable fields in a quick and easy manner and with the highest levels of efficiency and reliability.
The launch of the National Campaign for Charitable Work, in its third year, comes as an extension of the great turnout that the campaign enjoyed in its first and second years during the blessed month of Ramadan, and to enable benefactors, affluent people, and donors to present their donations in a reliable and secure digital way to the various charitable opportunities and fields offered by the Ihsan platform. As the total donations that the platform has received since the approval of its establishment amounted to more than 3 billion and 300 million riyals, out of the total donations that benefit more than 4.8 million beneficiaries from various charitable fields.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SADAIA) was commissioned to establish the charity platform by a noble and generous order. It is also monitored by a supervisory committee consisting of 12 government agencies that work according to strong and tight governance within the national endeavors aimed at empowering the charitable sector digitally. And with the desire of the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ihsan) to facilitate interaction with the campaign; It has designated a service center that receives donations throughout the days of the campaign via the number (8001247000).
