Al-Qunfudhah Governorate police arrested a resident of Yemeni nationality, to transport (5) violators of the border security system of Ethiopian nationality in his vehicle.
A spokesman for the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region Police confirmed that whoever facilitates the entry of violators of the border security system to the Kingdom, or transfers them within it, or provides them with shelter, or provides them with any assistance or service in any way, exposes himself to penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine. Up to one million riyals, confiscating the means of transportation and housing used for shelter, in addition to defaming him.
He explained that this crime is considered one of the major crimes that necessitate arrest, and breaches honor and trust, urging that violators of residence, work and border security systems be reported at the number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions.
