The stations of the National Seismological Network of the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt recorded an earthquake measuring 4.57 on the Richter scale, northeast of Hurghada.
The head of the institute, Dr. Jad Al-Qadi, said in a statement today that the tremor occurred at exactly 1:58 am at a depth of 23.42 kilometers and 37 kilometers northeast of Hurghada, stressing that the institute had not received any information indicating any losses or injuries.
