Jose Romero-Ramirez Death – Cause of Death – Jose Romero-Ramirez, 52, of Milwaukie, Oregon was the pedestrian killed in a tragic car accident on the 15th of November 2021. Jose was hit and killed just after 1p.m. on Northwest 23rd Avenue and his family has been notified of his death.
The pedestrian was struck by a truck in the 300 Block of Northwest 23rd Avenue. When dispatchers arrived at the scene, AMR was doing CPR on Jose down on the sidewalk, and they immediately began assisting. Officers requested activation of the Major Crash Team and witnesses were questioned. Investigation led the police to believe that the driver and pedestrian were co-workers.
According to investigators, Jose was assisting the driver in parking their work truck and the driver accidentally pinned his co-worker between the rear of the truck and a large tree. AMR medics and Central Precinct officers tried all they could to provide emergency medical assistance, but Jose died of his injuries. The driver of the truck remained on scene and assisted with the investigation.
