Coach John Quillen at the age of 73, has died. John was the former Heritage High (Newport News) Head Football Coach. he led the Hurricanes to a State Football Championship in 2000. His death has brought tears into the eyes of his loved ones.
Sad to report that former Heritage High (Newport News) Head Football Coach John Quillen has passed away at the age of 73.
Led the Hurricanes to a State Football Championship in 2000 – the first for a Newport News school in 34 years. I also was an assistant coach at CNU.
