It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the death of 42-year-old Aaron Hirschhorn, who died on March 29 at Biscayne Bay near the Meloy Channel, through social media publications made on Twitter on March 30, 2021.
Aaron Hirschhorn passed away at the scene where his motorized surfboard collided with a boat on Sunday.

It is with incredible sadness that I process the loss of such a wonderful friend, entrepreneur, family man, and human being. Aaron Hirschhorn and I knew each other from my days running TaskRabbit. We would trade notes on marketplace businesses and lament about all the highs and lows of scaling a consumer marketplace brand. He was incredibly smart and thoughtful. We bonded over our love of dogs. He was extremely generous – when we were raising our last round of funding for TaskRabbit he made countless introductions to investors for me, with the kindest, warmest words. I would work out of his office when I traveled to LA, he always made sure I had everything I needed and was set up for success.
