Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.

It is with sadness in my heart. After a long battle with Cancer That i Announce my loving Uncle Retired Air Force Sgt Paul Lagacé Past away. I will miss him dearly. God bless you uncle Paul. Paul Lagace my uncle, my second dad when I moved here to BC, who helped EVERYONE, has passed away in the early morning hours today in hospice to his lengthy battle with cancer. It’s not only my loss, but the loss shared by many of his friends, brothers, sisters, his mother, his partner Arlene and colleagues. We will be preparing a video/slideshow for family and friends. I want to share his contribution, his laughs and his firm passion for helping others. His laughter and presence was so loud and so full of life, everyone will be happy to know he was joking sincerely right up to the end. Even though he couldn’t respond family and friends had gathered outside his window and the nurses were moving the sheet over him and they were telling him what they were doing and saying “that’s right Paul, we are just moving the sheet, those people outside shouldn’t get a show, not unless they’re paying!” He grunted several times in a row and Arlene and I were laughing so hard, it was the kind of joke he would have said himself if he could have and his grunting was an indication he enjoyed that joke. Paul Lagace was also a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces and spent time urging various federal governments to properly fund veteran’s benefits. In addition, he was a published author.
The world lost an amazing and truly kind man this week. Paul Lagace was one of the most gentle and giving people I have ever had the honor of knowing. Thank you for loving my mom unconditionally and treating her the way she deserves. We will miss you so much, love you always.
