RENEE DERMOTT, 61, a sixth grade teacher at Seven Springs Middle School in Pasco County, Florida, has died of COVID-19. She leaves behind her husband, children, students, family & friends.

We have a sad update this Sunday evening. Renee Dermott, a middle school teacher in Pasco County, has died from COVID-19. We first introduced you to her earlier this month as the community rallied around her as she fought the virus.
School yearbooks across the state will need pages designated to Covid-19 deaths this year if someone doesn’t put a stop to forcing brick and mortar reopening. Please don’t let this happen.
This is beyond devastating. Renee was my age and also a middle school teacher. “After suffering cold-like symptoms, Renee Dermott, 52, was hospitalized July 13. The sixth-grade teacher at Seven Springs Middle School was diagnosed with pneumonia and tested positive for COVID-19.”Yesterday, her daughter posted, “She is up! her energy is up. Her breathing is better! My mom will get to come home and I will never (maybe) argue with her again until she is 100.”
Today, she passed away. I am truly heartbroken for her family.

Please send condolences to Renee Dermott’s family as Renee, a dearly loved friend; mother; and teacher, just passed away from Covid 19. Below is a link for a meal train for her family. Please keep her family in your prayers. Her and I became good friends last year as we were teammates at SSMS. We taught right next to one another. I learned a lot from her and we had so many great laughs and memories together! She will be greatly missed and her legacy will live on! Thank you.
For those of you that have been praying for my friend, it is with an extremely heavy heart to share that she passed today. Please continue to pray for the Dermott family. Please don’t think COVID is not a big deal, it just took the life of an incredible mom, wife, daughter, friend, teacher and so many more things. If you can please go to my home page and look for the GoFundMe page any help is appreciated. I love you Renee KD.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
