I looked up to this man so much. I took basketball so seriously at a young age because I wanted to be just like Jason Cuffee. I used to love watching him play, and also pretending I was him on my hoop in my backyard. This just breaks my heart, rest easy

You hear stories about people dying young and you never think it could happen to you your family. Death is something that I’ll never get used to. RIP Jason, I always looked up to you without you knowing. Prayers for the Cuffee family please

My heart is broken over the news I woke up to this morning. Jason was such a good guy. My heart goes out to his family!! I can’t even imagine what they’re going through right now. Sarah Bess Cuffee, I am so sorry!! You and the whole family are in my thoughts & prayers. We all love Jason. Everybody please keep his family in your prayers. And please say a little prayer for Hunter & all of his other friends.
Many of you may recognize that name, especially my friends from Tug Valley.
Jason Cuffee was a standout basketball player from Poca High School. He later committed to play at Wright State University, but not before he and the Dots knocked Tug Valley out of the playoffs in the regional championship game in 2011.
Jason was a talented athlete, and a good firefighter. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
