“This isn’t a post about my squat… this was actually from back in February. This is about the guy in red standing in front of the mono. This is about Mark “Bama” Hibbing.
He was ever watchful, ever helpful and ever just a positive force to everyone around him. We found out this morning that he was killed in a car accident 😞.
He had a loud, booming voice, an infectious laugh, an easy smile and seemed to enjoy everyone around him. He was kind and gentle and gave hugs freely (just like most big, burly powerlifters). I was always excited to see him when we went down to train with our @overkillstrength family. RIP buddy… I hope the squat bar is always loaded and always feels light. You’ll be missed terribly.

My sweet brother-in-love went home to be with Jesus this morning. We are all in shock and full of so much sorrow right now. I wish I was there right now to help comfort my baby sister! Please keep her and her family in your prayers. He kissed her good bye and told her he loved her for the last time. He was on his way to work and died in a car crash.. I can’t even imagine my sister’s pain right now! We love you Mark Bama Hibbing!! You are greatly missed! I love you so much Patti Hibbing !!”
