We’re saddened to learn of the death of Bob Roscioli, a marine industry icon, boatbuilder and founder of the Roscioli Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Fair winds and following seas, Bob.
IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE LEGENDARY
BOB ROSCIOLIIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the legendary Robert “Bob” Roscioli. Mr. Roscioli has been an icon of the marine industry and is globally respected for personal attention to details and outstanding service to the yachting industry at Roscioli Yachting Center.
Bob built his business and made his mark as a pioneer in the South Florida marine industry when he started a business from nothing, using his master paint brushing skills and gained a reputation as a perfectionist. He then launched what is now a world renowned, state of the art-full service shipyard. In the late 1980’s, he started Roscioli Donzi Yachts, building custom sportfishing yachts which was a passion of his.
Bob’s mantra “Today’s the Day” is the way he started every day at the yard. He could be seen walking the shipyard every morning, preparing for the day ahead. A true friend to first responders and veterans, Bob was an advocate of providing jobs and teaching those who have served or needed a chance. A true legacy to the marine industry.
Mr. Roscioli leaves behind Sharon, his loving wife of 51 years, his son Robert (Traci), his daughter, Heather (Brian), and three granddaughters, Grace, Hannah and Rachel. Bob will be deeply missed by his employees, innumerable colleagues in the yachting industry, many of whom he mentored, and the yachts owners who have depended on him for his loyal service
