Our hearts are broken as they ache for the loss of our Uncle Joe, Joseph B. Jefferson. He was an amazingly talented songwriter, singer and musician, but more than that he was FAMILY. Thank you Uncle Joe for always showing Aunt Roe, and our entire family, a “Mighty Love”. You truly are “One of a Kind”. You always told it like it was with passion and honesty, for you were never one to play the “Games People Play”. Your talent as a songwriter spoke volumes from your days as a struggling musician playing the drums, keyboards or bass for various artists, writing for the Spinners, O’Jays or Temptations, all the way through to the long awaited release of your Nat Turner Rebellion album in 2019. May you Rest In Peace knowing how much we love you and will miss you dearly. Heaven definitely gained an angel.
