The valedictorian of OLGMS HS Class of 1969, Manuel ” Manny” D.Pambid has passed away and unknowingly to most of us ,he left an indelible mark in Philippine theatre as a playwright and a mentor to countless thespians….His spirit lives on!!! Rest in the peace of Christ ,Kapatid!!!
dear friend MANNY PAMBID who passed away last night. I guess Manny had already taken on all the challenges he came here for in this lifetime. Time for him to join the ranks of friends as spiritual warriors leading us in the battles we now fight, help us see who the enemy really is, and fiercely work for love and light to find its way into all of our hearts.
How nice that he is under the star in this photo. We were last together September 29, 2019 celebrating the centennial of Waldorf at Abelardo Hall. It was Michaelmas. His spirit was full to the brim, he said, with Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu on the piano and beautiful harp music. Just the other day I was watching the video of the concert and was happy to see Manny joining the community singing of “Wardens of the Light” and meant to send him a message sharing that joy.
I never got to send the message. Instead, I received a message from Al Santos: “Nauna na si Manny.” What a precious memory of the last time we were together, Manny! Enjoy the music in the heavenly spheres now. Maraming salamat kapatid! Mahal na mahal ka namin! ❤
