Some young people turned their hobby from the earth to the sky, when they searched for a way to fly and embrace the sky. Some of them went to the oldest hobby in love, which is paragliding, enduring its pain and strength, and tying its strings to fly with its sails racing against the wind. Some of them loved (capturing) planes and flying helicopters, as they considered His beautiful risk through which he achieves the exercise of freedom and the unloading of energies between clouds and sunset scenes, he sees the earth in another way, for it is for them the most welcome way to vent the soul and detonate the energies latent within the youth, and some of them are neither here nor here, but he stayed with the wind where he practiced a racing hobby Motorcycles, but the common denominator in all of these sports is the neglect of the sponsors. Society culture does not classify them as youth hobbies, but they are part of riding danger, approaching death and fatal accidents, so these practitioners wanted to convey to society part of their hobby and introduce it, but The field did not open a good way for them to introduce and talk, and they remained within their hobbies.

The flying hobby has attracted many Saudi youth over the past years, especially after many regions had specialized flying clubs, and the Saudi Federation registered it as an accredited sport in which many competitions are held.

In Jeddah, the Sama Aviation Club gathers amateurs of this sport, which still haunts its place, did not go out to people and is known as an approved sport, and is still limited to practitioners.

The owners of this hobby have ambitions, aspirations, and hopes, as they see that it is still below the desired level, asking the competent authorities to manufacture pilots who compete for foreign championships, as they hope from other parties that it will help them overcome a number of flying hours that qualify them for greater stages.

But those who practiced the hobby of flying and taking risks in the eyes of some people, were brought together by their love of embracing the sky, flying with birds, and contesting the winds.

Ahmed Safar Al-Zahrani, a young man who spent many years in the sport of aviation, and one of the two pioneers in this hobby, as his love for aviation began from childhood, but there was no place in the Kingdom that embraced that love, until he found it in Jordan and trained on it there, and returned to his homeland leaving his hobby Abroad, he practices it from time to time, and by chance he heard about a sports club in which fans of paragliding gather, and as soon as he went to it, he found what he wanted, as he searched for it a lot and began practicing the hobby in his city, Jeddah and his hometown, Ahmed says: Although this hobby was not known Until now, however, I have found a number of practitioners in the Sama Aviation Club, which has become our refuge, where we have one hobby and one passion. We all love this hobby even though it has not reached the level of professionalism. We are all linked to jobs and come here to practice our beloved hobby. Regarding their demands, Al-Zahrani said: We have many hopes and aspirations, and since we practice this hobby under the umbrella of the Saudi Federation and the Civil Aviation Authority, we hope to find support in developing our sport, which has become confined to specific areas and for a specific number, so we want to give free training hours that will help us These hours allow us to enter new fields and give us an opportunity for international participation, as the Saudi pilots are very distinguished, and they need support from the authorities supervising this sport.

Hassan Al-Shahrani practiced the flying hobby since he joined Sama Aviation Club, and he did not know anything about sports, until he knew the club’s path, and started training sessions that lasted more than 30 hours, which are the hours set for granting the license from the Civil Aviation Authority, and then he flew for the first time in the skies of Jeddah, He captures scenes from his home city of Bride from above. His hopes and aspirations were not different from Ahmed Al-Zahrani, as he believes that this sport in the Kingdom did not take its due from the reputation and reputation, and did not find the attention it deserves from the competent authorities. In achieving what they aspire to, he and Al-Zahrani also hoped that they would be given the opportunity to serve their country by participating with the rescue and monitoring authorities.

The young Majid Luqattam dreamed of flying and went to study abroad, but the circumstances did not enable him to continue to return to the Kingdom, but his dream of flying in the sky is still drawn in his imagination. He left aviation and went to his job, and one day he heard through his friends that an aviation club had opened in Jeddah, and when he asked and investigated, he found what he was looking for in Sama Club, where he joined and got a flight license, and his ambitions did not stop at that limit, as he wanted to develop his abilities in flying and turn the hobby into a professional, and he did not find an opportunity for that except to travel outside the Kingdom.

Aviation enthusiasts, especially amateurs of "gyrocopter" and "micro-light" aircraft, still hope to turn from amateurs into professionals and fly more accurate planes, but the field at home does not allow them to do so, and they hope that the capabilities will be available in the Kingdom to help them in Transforming this hobby into a field for civil aviation, or for government agencies to benefit from them by working for them, developing their capabilities and serving their country.

The Director General of the Sama Aviation Club, Captain Abdullah Al-Salmani, said that there is full support from the General Sports Authority and the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee for all the activities of this club, which carried out over the past year more than 3,500 flight hours of training and introductory flights that roam the sky of the Bride of the Red Sea. Praising the care the club receives from the advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region.

He pointed out that the sport of aviation is the “equestrian of the era”, as the transfer of the culture and science of aviation among the people of the Kingdom is one of the main goals of such clubs that make young people engage in the fields of aviation and change their lifestyle, and increase their interest in all the details and accuracy in their implementation, considering that this Sport is one of the sports that has a strong influence on the person intellectually, because the experience of flying is one of the unfamiliar experiences for many people and a departure from the nature of the human soul and the feeling of great freedom and swimming in the air with these light and really exciting sports planes.
