Former Leeds And England Defender Terry Cooper Has Died

Terry Cooper, who made 351 appearances for Leeds as one of a quartet of dependable, at times brutal, first-choice defenders, including Jack Charlton, Norman “Bites Yer Legs” Hunter, and Paul Reaney has died at the age of 77 on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

He is recognized as an icon and a legend at the club, after wearing the jersey from 1964 to 1975. In a statement, the club said it was “devastated at the news of the disappearance of Terry Cooper”.
