Bobby Pettigrew faithfully attended my church school class, we had plenty of times where I would have to talk him through his frustrations, plenty of times he wld text me saying how he was finna type/say smthn but he didn’t want to hear what I had to say about it later. But on the day of this picture, HE POURED INTO ME! He built me up, he lifted my spirits, he encouraged me & it was just what I needed that day. Don’t get me wrong tho, we argued & fussed at each other as well & we sho-nuffed laughed. If you know Bob you know he don’t mind doing anything for anybody. He also didn’t mind sharing his convictions about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So even tho we are sad on this side family and friends we can find comfort in knowing Bobby is ok. Rest well lil brutha I’m gonna miss you dawg but I can hear you saying “I’m goood” See you in the morning Mr. Kokomo!
I am in shock, disbelief and heartbroken. Our community has lost a great man, role model and friend. Bobby Pettigrew was one of a kind. I was blessed to have coached with him for a couple of years. I learned so much from him. Not about the game but about the way you treat people. He has done so much for our youth in our community. Please join me in praying for his wonderful family and for this community. This one hurts big
