Lord I come to you with a heavy heart right now and pray for for the entire family of The Lockharts and The Bobbitts / Ezzells & close friends who lost a loved one. Joel Lockhart who was not only a great coach & mentor to so many kids who grew up to be great men, but a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother friend & man. I remember my first memory of Joel. I was a young 10 year old kid playing 3rd base at creekside park for the Phillies and were playing Joel’s team the Yankees. There was a runner on third base and a ground ball was hit to me, I pump faked to first and heard Joel tell his base runner to go and we were able to get him out at the plate and save a run. Joel came over to me and shook my hand and pated me on my back and said great heads up play young man even though he was the opposing teams coach. That just goes to show you his character. I’m sure I’m not the only person with a memory of him such as this. Prayers for the entire Lockhart family and close ones to them. We lost a good one. Tough times don’t last but strong people do
