Keely Wamsteeker wrote on social media about her, “There are no words to express the amount of sadness I am feeling today. When I was just 17 Heidi so graciously took me under her wing at Art and Soul any chance she could. I still remember the amount of toonies she’d give me at the end of every week for every shampoo she’d made me do for her so I could “learn”. 😉
She was someone who I looked up too and aspired to be like, not only as a hairstylist but as a friend too. She was there for me during one of the hardest times in my life and for that I will forever be grateful.
If you were lucky enough to know her you know how easily her smile and laugh could light up a room…. She was a light in the salon and everyone knew it the second they walked in.
I am so sad we lost touch over the years but I am so thankful and lucky to have had known you.
Your beautiful soul and infectious laugh will be so missed.
Rest easy my friend. 💗

The little reminders that cause tears today will turn into little reminders that make us sad and then those little reminders will eventually make us smile and remember Heidi just as she would have wanted us to-with love, a grin and maybe a cold one.

She was a perfect example of what it means to be a wonderful person. She had a calming presence and was extremely kind, she touched the hearts of so many, and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

She was tenacious, curious and always mastered what she did very quickly. She was deeply passionate and her sense of humor was a gift to all those who knew her. She loved taking care of animals. She will always be remembered as a gentle, caring, warm, big blue-eyed, special young woman who had an immeasurable bond with her family.
