55-year-old Richard Lorman, of Wilton, New Hampshire, has been identified as the suspect in Massachusetts Salem attempted murder-suicide Monday night, according to Attorney’s office.
Detectives say the 55-year-old suspect shot a 33-year-old woman to the head before the gun on himself. The woman was airlifted to a hospital in Boston in a critical condition.
The incident happened near 3 Technology Way at about past 5 p.m. Monday. Lorman allegedly waited for the woman to she left her sail making shop workplace located in Industrial Park. Responding officials located Lorman dead from self inflicted gunshot wound.
Police said they believe the victim and suspect knew each other, but the exact nature of their relationship is unknown.
Some businesses were ordered to shelter in place following the shooting and roads were closed off.
