Investigations are active after an adult male was found suffering from multiple gunshot injuries at the scene in East Knoxville.
According to the Knoxville Police Departments, the shooting happened at past 10:00 p.m. in the 2800 block of Nichols Avenue on Wednesday. Officers and fire crew responded to the scene and located the man suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot.
The unidentified man was transported to UT Medical Center in unknown condition. It is not immediately clear if anyone Is in custody. Investigators are working to understand a motive in the shooting. This is a developing story and InsideEko will update this story.
