Jeffrey W. Groulx Death – Cause of Death – Jeffrey W. Groulx, 47, of New Hampshire, was the suspected burglar who was fatally shot by police after allegedly shooting at them with an AK-47. News outlets reported that Jeffrey was shot three times by police in Seekonk on Sunday morning, 28th of November 2021. According to state medical examiner on Monday, Groulx was shot three times, and one of the wounds was fatal.
Bristol County DA reported that Groulx allegedly broke into a business on Route 6 in Seekonk just before 6:40 a.m. on Sunday. Police were alerted and when they got to the crime scene, they found the suspect, Groulx in the parking lot of a nearby business, fleeing the scene in a black Honda. Groulx lost control of the car near the intersection of School Street and Route 6, and his car crashed.
When officers got to the scene of the crash, and Groulx shot at them with a 7.62-mm AK-47 rifle. They returned fire, then took up a defensive position and called the regional SWAT team. After the shootout, Groulx was found dead at the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
