Respect and appreciate who you have become, who you have become in you leadership life, your career life, your financial life, your moral life, your religious life or any other area of your life.
This may seem a tall order for us because we tend to compare ourselves with those who are better than us. We graduated the same time but now he has a big house, a big car or a beautiful wife, while am here doing nothing. Lets also think from the other side, lets recall that some who started with us are in the underground mansion(grave),some are unconscious in the hospital, some are asking death to come take them, some are also in prisons. Some wake up with multiple pains all over their body, making it a challenge just to raise up from bed.
Bask in the radiance of your sucex, celebrate yourself in the little way you can…
You may not have achieve all you set for yourself, but remember many also seek to enjoy the life you own today. Sometimes when trucks that supply cement pass by me and i see the loaders lying comfortably on the cements or in corners of the truth. I start to wonder if these men know there is something called internet or Facebook. I ask because the way these men relax in these trucks, you do not need a prophet to tell you they are used to this life and its their normal routine which they may not even know the suffering they are in. So whatever life you live is someone else dream. If one of such loaders is given an android phone with 2 gig data to facebook, he may worship the person who does that for him. But everyday, you just cruise into facebook or the internet and do what you have to do.
A bottle of your favorite drink and biscuit or cake, even if it’s a one man party, is a good way to celebrate yourself even if its only a step you have taken in the journey of a thousand miles. Celebrating you is an activity that will give you more motivation to explore your aspiration and endeavours.
Being appreciative means you understand the importance of your past effort and that you know the dynamics of life’s processes especially the fact that
“Rome was not built in a day”
or that
“ the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step and each step taken takes you closer to your aspired goal”
“count your blessing and name them one by one”
Start where you are, believe, greater is the power “image” in you than all in the material world, a power that transcends every challenge on your path. Challenge yourself to be greater than you are, dare to move on, explore your future with the confidence of a champion for that’s what you are.
The future belong not to those who stand and watch but to those who explore the world with the searchlight of the gift in them. Everybody has a heritage to offer to the world. Though many are called and few are chosen………out of the many souls endowed with the responsibility of shinning their inner light for the garden(earth) they are in, the responsibility of brightening creation is only a few are bold enough to actually discover themselves and work assiduously for the blossoming of their inner gold purified by developing a morally upright life that reflects their most cherished noble ideals.
Chosen not by external illusions but through personal hard work in the vineyard of a career that adds value to the community of humanity.
