There will always be one Bo Jackson. But when you reflect Madden 22 coins upon some of the NFL running backs who have come after you, which ones have the most resemblance to you?

I can only come up with two examples -The two I can think of are Saquon and Derrick Henry — on the strength, power, and brute force and ability to maneuver around the field and defense. They may not be able to match the speed that I did. But they have made their speed work. They’re extremely successful in their field. They’re also considered to be among the top running backs in the game right now.

If you take a look back at your professional career, what’s the most memorable move you’ve made that think could have come from video games?

The one that nobody talks about, except for Denver Broncos fans is when we went to Denver and I swung through their defense like the hot knife that cuts through butter. This isn’t a boast, but just the reality of the size that I was at the time and how low I learned in college to run behind my pads. That means that you won’t be able to see me upright running with my pads, unless I had someone standing 5 or 6 feet behind me trying to catch me. When I was on the road, in high-traffic area it only took me one time to realize that not running behind your pads is bad for you. I’m not sure of the name of the man however, he was a linebacker with the Cardinals when they were in Phoenix. He blew me up. He smacked me on the 6or 7-yard line. He hit me in the 2. He helped me stand up and said, ‘Hey Bo Hey, you must earn my money. You must run more. I’m looking at him like, “You’ve have lost your mind. I’m not going to go down that hole any more. After that play I bounced it out and used my speed.

Editor’s note: In the fourth quarter of the game that was played between Raiders as well as the Broncos on Dec. 2 in 1990, Jackson made a score of 62 yards rush touchdown, breaking five tackles to get to the goal line. Jackson ended the day by rushing 13 times for the 117-yard run and two touchdowns.

That [Denver] game when I was able to get past my line of players I ran into a linebacker, jumped over someone else. And , if I’m not wrong, I hit their All-Pro linebacker [Karl] Mecklenburg who sprinted past the defensive back up to his goal line. This is one of the plays that stands in my mind because I needed to do everything to the sidelines to make someone miss, jump into the air, then get low, and go for 60 yards for scoring.

What did you think of when you first saw yourself featured on Madden cover?

I just sat back and thought, ‘Man, you’re still a winner. I’ve done something right. It’s my message to guys that are similar to Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley You must do it right. If you’re able to do it right in the beginning, you’ll be remembered forever.

The Madden curse can’t affect your current situation, right?

What is the Madden curse? [Laughs.] It’s not going to affect me.

You didn’t get to play with yourself in Tecmo Bowl. Are you gonna play with yourself in Madden?

I don’t know. The thing I’m doing right now is spending lots of time with my brand new grandson. So I’ll likely purchase the game and save this for my son. But I’m looking forward to it coming out. Be assured that I will have my case of Madden games to hand out to cheap Madden nfl 22 coins my family and friends as Christmas presents.
