The Director General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Faisal Al-Shboul, confirmed to Okaz that the agreement signed with the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) in the presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein of Jordan reflects the true relationship between the two countries and the two peoples.

He pointed out that they depend mainly on Saudi news from the News Agency (SPA), and that the agreement included the exchange of news in both languages (Arabic and English), the exchange of pictures and technical information, and the reception of services. He added, "Any development that one of the two parties works on is felt by the other, and the use of other services is exchanged with the importance of referring to the source, while not expanding publication without the presence of a third party in the matter." Al-Shboul noted that the agreement included providing technical assistance to the correspondents of the two countries, publishing the news of the two countries through the official agency, and exchanging events related to each country.

He said that there is a real will and continuous communication between the two parties, and my relationship is distinguished with the director of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein. He cited the depth of relations with the penetration of the Jordan News Agency (Petra) last year, and its aim was to offend Saudi Arabia, and they were able to thwart that penetration.
