It may be normal to see a young man’s love for horses, but it is remarkable that an entire family is attached to horses. This is what the family of Khaled Al-Hazmi from Jizan fell into. He conveyed his love for horses to all family members, especially his sons Yazan and Ziyad, but even to young children and his two daughters, Rana and Russell, so he became The stable is a haven for all family members, and a place where they spend most of their time, and everyone participates in bringing the things that horses love, such as dates, carrots, and sugar.
Khaled Al-Hazmi tells the story of their love for horses, saying: “The interest of the children, especially Yazan and Ziyad, began with horses about six years ago when they were studying in the primary stage. I enrolled them in a training course in one of the equestrian clubs in the region. Then after that I began to train the rest of the boys myself (Batal, Rana and Russell), and thank God they all ride horses and deal with them professionally.
He added, with regard to the children’s love and passion for horses, they are very attached to them, and they consider every horse we own as a member of the family in terms of caring for the horse, whether in terms of food or cleanliness, to the extent that they are always keen to bring things that horses like to eat, such as dates, carrots and sugar. .
Regarding the development of the hobby, he confirmed that this was by continuing the semi-daily training, as the rider trained inside the field first, then after several hours of training he began to gallop or horse out of the stable, with the follow-up of their father, and the more the trainee’s level developed, the more he had the opportunity to go out and go to Wider space and more spacious places.
He said: The horse closest to Yazan is a horse produced by the stable named Al-Haytham, and it is always preferred to go out on it for picnics and participate in races.
As for Ziyad, he loves to ride the horse Kinda, and Rana loves the horse Farah very much, and everyone has a friendly relationship with the horses.
Their love for horses did not stop at a hobby only, but turned into a sport in which they participate in several competitions, as Yazan and Ziyad participated in an endurance race championship and achieved second and fourth places, while their father participated in the same race and got fifth place. After he taught them, they surpassed him in riding horses.
Al-Hazmi adds, "Now we have two championships in the endurance race, one in Asir at the beginning of next month under the auspices of the Saudi Equestrian Federation, and the other is also an endurance race championship that is being planned to be held in the Damad Governorate, Jazan region."
The ambitions of the sons of Al-Hazmi in the equestrian world are great, and the hopes in the field of horses are endless, and they are now planning to become one of the region's champions in endurance and endurance races.
Al-Hazmi confirms that the aspirations are great in the Jazan region, but with more attention from the responsible authorities, as they hope to allocate a track for speed races, as well as allocate a track or road for endurance and endurance championships, and support clubs that hold championships in their fields, especially since they have three clubs in the region. They are: “Al-Fursan National Club in Damad, Al-Muhanna Club in Abu Arish, and Al-Safinat Club in Al-Madaya”, in which its management bears a large part of the burdens of organizing, arranging and holding tournaments, and may bear the costs, expenses and prizes of these tournaments. And also the establishment of a women's equestrian club compatible with the social environment, as trainers are contracted to train female jockeys on the basics of horse riding and to practice this fun and interesting sport.
