Abu Khashim promised the first festival of dates that was held in the governorate as one of the most important festivals as it strengthened the original identity of the governorate, as it is the food basket of the Al-Baha region by virtue of the fact that historically, Al-Aqiq produces 1,000 tons of the products of palm farms in the governorate, which amounts to 1,400 farms and includes 48,000 palm trees that produce Al-Safri and Al-Khudari. He added that the northern side was famous for its historical mining mines, especially in the site of Al-Lagbah, in which quantities of copper are scattered, which fueled the commercial movement during the first and second Abbasid eras, in addition to the granite mountains and volcanic vegetation that surround the governorate. The governorate is also rich in food due to the density of its farms and the diversity of its agricultural products, such as dates. Wheat, barley, vegetables and fruits such as grapes, pomegranates, apricots and citrus fruits, and are also a source of supply for people's need for livestock.
