If the decision to allow driving was greeted by Saudi girls with joy, those with chronic diseases received it with tears, so the decision was delayed for them. They have suffered for many years from the power of men, especially with their need for almost daily visits to hospitals and medical centers.
Shatha Tariq said that the decision for women to drive is one of the historical decisions that serve women, especially those who suffer from the absence of a driver for them at home, and have a sick father or mother and need frequent visits to hospitals, while taxis drain a large part of the salary, and half of the month does not come. Otherwise, they are looking for someone to provide them with aid so that they can go by means of transportation.
Amal Al-Zahrani added that she is very happy with this decision. Because it serves Saudi women who face family circumstances; She is an employee and her salary does not exceed 3,500 riyals, and her mother is sick and old, and she visits hospitals four days a week. She owes what she used to spend on taxis, and she praises God that she is in a country that gave women more than they could wish for, a generous country in giving to the sons and daughters of the country, and she concluded by thanking the leaders of this country.
Munira Abdel-Rahman stated that she considers this decision to solve the crisis of not having a driver available to her, especially when she has a review in the hospital.
