The young Sarah Al-Hazmi lost her sight from a young age, and she was fond of technology, so she lived through years of misery and isolation, and she felt that life stopped when she lost her sight, and she was waiting for someone to take her hand after her usual day became without achievement or goal, and she was unable to spend her time attached to computers As before, the doors were closed in front of her because she did not receive guidance and support to help her overcome the barrier of blindness. Her years passed, which she considered empty, until she heard from her family that there is a so-called speaker with which she hears the contents of the computer, and she completes her career by writing, browsing, and using programs such as design, and at that time she resolved to fulfill her passion, and her younger sister, Maria, began training her and accompanying her despite the difficulty of the matter, and she was keen to train her to memorize The places of the keyboard buttons and memorizing the places of the letters, so she was suffering from a handicap of the speaker that does not work properly sometimes, and there was no development for it, and her sister preferred to support her, so she contacted the specialized companies to file a blind complaint about the bad speaker of the devices, and she received belated promises of development and attention.
Sarah Al-Hazmi did not surrender to these obstacles despite waiting for the moral support and care for the blind from the concerned authorities, and she wanted to achieve the development of talking devices to help the blind, and Sarah said that she found support from her family after the development of life, and she could use any technical device with a speaking, but there are many They do not have any awareness or knowledge, as many blind women suffer from psychological problems due to lack of interest, isolation, and society’s belittling of them in the view of them as helpless or dependent.
She said, after the inauguration of the first association in the Medina region for the blind, "Roya Charity" two years ago, it began to review its programs, and provided moral support to the blind, as well as development courses by attracting qualified people in teaching the blind, training them to live with blindness and encouraging them to overcome that disability, as they are They can do what the sighted person did not do.
Sarah began experimenting with these courses, and attended a developed computer education course for the blind with utterances that make her dispense with anyone to help until she obtained an accredited training certificate as a trainer, and the association attracted her to be a trainer for the association's beneficiaries, as she trained many blind female students through courses that are held monthly.
And the journey of the first wish hidden between her eyes, which she no longer saw, began, and she found the anchorage of aspirations to land her travels, as if she had found her quest as she calls it in writing. Sarah is now completing her undergraduate studies in her first year.
She became a writer for a number of newspapers.
