Sony revealed during its conference at the annual CES exhibition in Las Vegas the new logo for its upcoming Playstation 5 platform.

The players received the logo with different reactions, as it is an exact copy of the logo of the current generation Playstation 4. Sony also confirmed in its presentation that the device will contain hardware-based Ray tracing, which offers the advantage of simulating the interaction of light with the world in a similar way to our world. The feature of 3D sounds and adaptive buttons has also been confirmed, in addition to support for ULTRA-HD Blu-ray discs. What frustrated gamers and fans of the device is that Sony did not reveal the shape of the device, as did its competitor Xbox when it surprisingly revealed the Xbox Series X at the last Game Awards. He also did not reveal any of the other technical specifications or the launch date of the device.

It is noteworthy that Sony announced sales figures for the current generation, as the current generation device has achieved sales since launch of 106 million devices, making it the second best-selling gaming device after the PlayStation 2. It revealed that the number of game sales exceeded one and a half billion games, 5 million PSvr devices, and the number of players participating in the PS Plus service exceeded 38 million subscribers.
