The promises made by several parties to the demands of the people of the villages of Wadi Ayan, south of Taif Governorate, have evaporated like clouds of smoke. Among the promises of the Ministry of Transport to deliver asphalt to the villages 11 years ago, the company did not implement the project, and the ministry was silent on the intervention after a number of the company's employees hinted at an earlier time to withdraw the project. Okaz stood on the road and listened to the demands of its owners, as Abdulaziz Al-Rubaie and Ali Al-Nafaie confirmed that the road extends from the tourist area, passing through the country of Rabi`, Wadi Ayan, to Al-Laith Road, and serves a large number of residents. The region is a winter tourist destination and is famous for its picturesque nature. The dreams of the residents for years were the end of the remaining part of the project, which does not exceed 6 kilometers in length, so it became a stumbling block for the residents and contributed to their departure to the cities, sacrificing their homes after the “Aqaba Ayaan” harshly dealt with them and prevented them from moving and prevented their children from going to schools and patients to hospitals. Mohsen Al-Otaibi indicated that visitors go to the region due to the availability of pristine nature in it, and the people hope that tourism will see it as another destination in the winter. The people of Ayan appealed to the Ministry of Transport to stand up for the project and direct its implementation instead of the repeated promises that residents have been tired of for 11 years.
