Plastic artist Najla Al-Shamrani is currently celebrating her first personal exhibition, "Bright" at Medad Art in Jeddah, with daily visits from artists, media professionals, and critics.

Al-Shamrani presented in her new exhibition about 20 artworks using crystals, precious stones and gold leaf, in addition to acrylic colors in an experience that is the most important and newest in the scene today. Najla was not the first artist to inlay crystals and precious stones in artworks, but she is already considered the best one who used those Techniques to add a color effect to the beauty of the painting. It is possible to dispense with all these external stimuli and suffice with the acrylic colors with which the painting was founded and made it the successor of her paintings, which indicates the diversity of the artist’s culture and her ability to adapt color with precious influences to produce museum works that elevate the visual arts in the Bride of the Red Sea, Jeddah. Perhaps her first exhibition prepares her for a start towards future exhibitions so that she establishes an artistic approach for her to be considered one of the pioneers in this field. Najla says to “Okaz”: “The universe around us is full of mysteries and secrets, and at every moment a person discovers many oddities in its details and subtleties, and many interpretations Through my work as a teacher, I became convinced of the amazing and profound effect of colors on our lives. The scientific fact revealed that colors are not only preferred choices in clothes, gifts, and paint colors, but rather play deeper and significant roles, especially with regard to the psychological, mood, and health conditions. From this standpoint, I tried hard to Enter the world of colors and arts to present a different achievement, and after deep thought, I found that mixing colors with what is precious and precious enhances the value of the artwork. In my exhibition, I used gold leaf, acrylic colors, wires, precious stones, resin, and prominent markers. What is remarkable for the visitors and visitors of the exhibition is the relationship between the artist and her husband, about whom she said: “My husband is the secret of my success and my first supporter, and I owe him credit for what I am in.” She also thanked the able artist, Salwa Al-Rifai, for hosting the exhibition and for her continuous support, until the exhibition appeared with this fascination for everyone.

The distinguished artist, Hisham Punjabi, praised her exhibition by saying: “The discussion here is not about the artist Najla, as she needs no introduction, but rather about the beauty of her use and employment of crystal in an artistic format that gave the works magnificence and beauty.”
