Our first national team lost its international friendly match against its guest, Venezuela, with two goals to one, in the meeting that brought them together at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.
Our national team started with a new squad, with five players participating together for the first time, which contributed to Venezuela's progress with two goals through: Martinez (D: 26), Salmon Rondon (D: 34), while video technology canceled the third goal for Venezuela, so the first half ended with two goals without. Opposite.
In the second half, the coach of our green team, Mr. Hervé Renard, made several changes that contributed to revitalizing the front line, and captain Salem Al-Dosari was able to reduce the score with a wonderful shot that hit Venezuela’s net as the first goal for our national team (D: 73), and substitute Saleh Al-Shehri almost managed to equalize with two heads. They were beautiful, but the Venezuelan goalkeeper confronted them with difficulty in both balls, so the match ended with Venezuela winning 2-1.
