Since 1991, the West has been interfering in Ukraine's internal affairs, in a blatant manner, sometimes. And he contributed to the arrival of the government of Volodymyr Zelensky, who is loyal to him, to power. Secret factories for biological and chemical weapons were established in Ukraine, and a feverish effort was made to prepare Ukraine for NATO membership. At the same time, America froze the agreement not to deploy short and medium-range missiles in Eastern and Central Europe. Russia was watching this situation with great concern and anger, until its anger exploded. Then it rushed to invade Ukraine starting on February 24, 2022.

It is noticeable that the Ukrainian leadership, led by Zelensky, persisted in continuing the war and fighting, and fully aligned with the Western strategy, in a losing, or almost losing, battle for their country. They are facing a great military power, which they will not be able to withstand, let alone defeat, no matter how much military and political aid flows to them from the West. The end result will be more suffering and destruction for the Ukrainian people. It is true that this may deplete some of Russia's forces, but the amount of this depletion will be limited, and not commensurate with the extent of the destruction of a large and advanced country like Ukraine.

And here he is, one of the heads of state of the European Union and NATO, diagnosing the West's policy in Ukraine, advising to change it. Croatian President Zoran Milano Vic stated in January 2023, saying: “Sanctions against Russia are foolish, and do not achieve anything for their owners.” He asked: "If everyone wants to be slaves to Washington." He went on to say: “Washington and NATO, with their assistance to Ukraine, are waging a proxy war against Russia… which is a very dangerous country. And if you start losing the war, you will launch 6,000 nuclear warheads, and everyone will cry.”

The current Ukrainian leadership offers its country as a sacrifice to NATO, which only wants to "use" it against its neighbor and sister, Russia. What logic is followed by the politicians of Ukraine, with their insistence on continuing the war, especially after the goals and intentions of America became clear towards their country and its neighbors?! It was, and still is, the leaders of Ukraine could appease the Russians, negotiate with them, and remain neutral in order to protect their country and its people from this massive destruction. Most likely, they will not gain from NATO membership except to become the first victims of the war with Russia.

The reaction of the West (NATO) to this Russian military operation was embodied in several serious countermeasures, the most important of which are: the strong condemnation of Russia and the imposition of unprecedented sanctions on it, in addition to the establishment of an air bridge between the West and Ukraine, to supply the latter with highly advanced weapons and missiles, and activate NATO's defense plans, and the establishment of additional combat groups, on the eastern side of the alliance, all of this makes the West involved in the war against Russia, albeit indirectly. That is, we are now witnessing an indirect internecine war between the West and Russia, which, if it "escalated" a little, is about to reach the point of a direct (and nuclear) all-out war… a third world war, which may write the end of this world, as we know it. America and Russia have only nuclear weapons that could, if used, destroy the world 6 times over. It is unlikely that this weapon will not be used in any sharp direct collision between them, especially after they put their nuclear arsenals on "standby".

Undoubtedly, there are many repercussions and various effects, local, regional and global, of this largest global crisis at the present time. This crisis imposed on the world, albeit to varying degrees, several thorny challenges in almost all aspects of public life. It is true that most of these challenges are still “potential” (expected) and do not actually exist. But it is almost true. And if the war escalates and escalates, these repercussions will be exacerbated. This war has lasted longer than expected. It may end soon, unless NATO intervenes directly (which is unlikely, so far) or indirectly, as it is doing now, by providing more diverse and advanced weapons to Ukraine.

It is known that Russia and Ukraine export the equivalent of a third of the world's exports of wheat, barley, and others. Which gives these two countries influence and an important “food weapon”. Russia’s war on Ukraine caused the latter to stop farming throughout the 2022 season.

2023, and possibly beyond. This means stopping their exports of these vital foodstuffs. A shortage of food exacerbates the suffering of the poor. Which may lead to instability and unrest in their country. This, in addition to stopping the flow of Russian oil and gas to Europe, and the resulting problems and harassment, Europe was indispensable. However, the biggest and most dangerous repercussions of this war remain the high probability of the biggest catastrophe…which is the massive direct collision between Russia and NATO, and the occurrence of what is not an ominous consequence, that is, the destruction…for most of the living things on earth.

This fierce war has entered its second year. There is no sign of its imminent end. Rather, the evidence points to the opposite. It seems that there are 3 possibilities for this war, in the short term. Either it will continue for more months, or a peaceful solution will be agreed upon between the concerned parties, or it will escalate… to cause a third and final world war. The massive and dangerous escalations that are taking place may accelerate the parties to this war to negotiate a peaceful solution… that will end or reduce the conflict, and protect humanity from the evils of nuclear doom. However, it seems that the two parties are far from a peaceful solution after all that has happened. Rather, they have become closer to a direct clash, and reaching unimaginable consequences, especially if their stubbornness and intransigence continue, and their insistence on imposing their completely contradictory positions, in form and content.

Russia wants to keep the territories it has occupied (the four provinces and the Crimean peninsula), and Ukraine not to join NATO. The West wants the withdrawal of Russian forces from all "Ukrainian" lands, and the annexation of Ukraine to both the European Union and NATO. Therefore, it seems that an agreement between the two sides (Russia and the West) on a solution to this impasse is now considered impossible.
