During the investigations, the victim said that she is the model of Miss Girl of the Nile for the year 2022, and she said that on the 4th of Ramadan, she was on a date with her friend to go out together, and while she was descending from her house on the stairs, she was surprised by the front gate of the property closed in an unusually tight way, and when she tried to open it, she felt hasty steps behind her. So she turned around and was surprised when her neighbor on the first floor called “Kamal H.A.” dealt several blows to her. She felt that it was a sharp tool, so she called for help from her family and the neighbors.
The victim added that her screams gathered the neighbors and her parents, so the accused fled back to his apartment and closed the door on himself, and her family and neighbors took her to the hospital and issued a report of the incident.
Marwa Al-Ashiri said, according to the Egyptian “Sada Al-Balad” website, that she does not yet know the reason for the accused’s commission of the crime, stressing that she has nothing to do with him, as he is just a neighbor of theirs who lives in the same property, and that she met him two days before the accident, as she was quickly climbing the stairs and happened to be standing in front of his apartment. He said to her: “See what you are afraid of, I am not afraid.” She replied to him, saying: “I am not afraid. Why should I be afraid of you?” She never spoke to him after that. A force from Al-Warraq investigations managed to arrest him and issue a report on the incident, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution office for investigation
