The donations of the Saudi popular campaign launched by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action through the “Sahem” platform to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey exceeded half a billion Saudi riyals.

Where the total donations amounted to about 505 million riyals, donated by more than 3.22 million donors.

This comes two days after the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) thanked the donors who contributed $268 million in response to the humanitarian funding appeal of $1 billion in Turkey following the earthquake. They were the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United States of America, Kuwait, the European Commission and the United Nations Emergency Fund, urging countries to provide support and contribute to financing the appeal.

The Saudi popular campaign was launched on February 8, corresponding to Rajab 17, 1444, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman, while the advisor at the Royal Court and general supervisor of the center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah said that the collection of donations will take place through the “Sahem” application or the unified bank account designated for the campaign, or through the various donation channels on the center’s website.

It is noteworthy that it is possible to donate to the campaign through the “Sahem” platform at the following electronic link sahem.ksrelief.org/SYTR, and donors can also send their transfers directly through the campaign’s bank account (SA7780000500608018777776), while the “Sahem” application can also be downloaded on mobile devices.
