The Iraqi presidency called on the Turkish government to take responsibility and make an official apology for the bombing of Sulaymaniyah airport in Iraqi Kurdistan, and the failed attempt to target the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi. She described the incident as "flagrant attacks", stressing the need to stop these attacks and solve internal problems by opening channels of dialogue with the concerned parties.

In a remarkable development that takes place for the first time, the First Lady of Iraq, Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, entered the crisis line and condemned the bombing of Sulaymaniyah International Airport. And it considered during a press conference, today (Saturday) in Sulaymaniyah, that the bombing of Sulaymaniyah airport affected the sovereignty of Iraq.

Regarding the presence of the Kurdish leader, Mazloum Kobani, and his targeting in Sulaymaniyah, she said: We do not have any information about the matter, and I expect that the matter is not credible.

She added, "The regional government was supposed to prevent the flight of Turkish planes in the sky of Erbil, and to prevent Turkish flights towards Erbil, because the sky of the region is one, and we are one region," stressing that resorting to changing the route of flights that penetrate Turkish airspace towards Sulaymaniyah.
