Monitoring conducted by Okaz based on government reports revealed that individual purchases of restaurants, cafes, food and drink exceeded 162.58 billion riyals, equivalent to about 29.13% of the total other purchases through the POS service. The food and beverage sectors, as well as restaurants and cafes, come in first and second place in terms of sales. According to the monitoring, the total sales value of all sectors amounted to 559.13 billion riyals, through 7.26 billion transactions, and the average value of one transaction is about 77 riyals. The diversified services sector came in third place, with 59.91 billion riyals. Clothing and shoes ranked fourth, with sales of 42.15 billion riyals. Health sector sales came in fifth place, with 38.17 billion riyals. While the number of operations carried out last year reached 7.26 billion, the restaurants, cafes, and food and beverage sectors were in the lead with 3.74 billion operations, equivalent to more than half of the operations that took place in the rest of the other sectors.
