The Ministry of Education decided to deduct a degree of attendance for each day of absence without excuse in the academic week preceding any official holiday, including the Eid al-Fitr holiday, or the week following any leave after returning to school. The Ministry indicated in the rules of behavior and attendance for male and female students of public education that the assessment of attendance for first and second year students is descriptive and specialized from the third primary to the third intermediate grade (100 marks for each semester), then the average grades are taken, and 100 marks are allocated for high school students at each level. The academic average is calculated for the student for all semesters upon graduation and appears in the student’s result without being included in the cumulative average.
