The head of the Syndicate of Acting Professions in Egypt, Ashraf Zaki, refuted the news that tweeters reported that the artist, Abla Kamel, had cancer and was being treated in a hospital.
Zaki responded, in a television interview, to these rumours, saying: “I seek refuge in God, there is no such thing. The great artist Abla Kamel is like a fool.” He added: “We communicate with her and we sit talking, joking and laughing.
The Egyptian artist has completed five years of retirement, since she presented the fifth part of the series “Blood Chain”, which was her last appearance.
And she decided to withdraw in silence, and did not respond or comment on the rumors of her retirement or the reasons for her absence and the boycott of the media and festivals.
And while she did not disclose the reason for her retirement, but close people said that it was the result of the death of a close friend of hers from outside the artistic community, which brought her into a state of great sadness because of what happened.
