A Chinese couple residing in a shared house on the Airbnb platform in South Korea left the gas on and the water taps running for 25 days in retaliation against the host, after he refused the request to cancel the reservation they had made, according to the “24” website.
The couple, whose identity was not revealed, wasted 120 tons of water, left a water and electricity bill of $116, and a gas bill of $730, NetEase News reported.
The couple booked a separate villa in the capital, Seoul, for 25 days, and paid the full amount. When they later realized that the house was in the outer suburbs of the capital, they decided that it was not suitable and asked to cancel the reservation, which the host refused and prompted them to retaliate.
