Workers in the gold markets confirmed the increased demand for buying gold during the holy month of Ramadan, especially these days preceding the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, in a season that is considered one of the best seasons in which the buying and selling movement abounds, as families prepare before the feast to buy gold to celebrate the feast, marriages and other social events. Pointing out that Arab and Asian nationalities tend to buy and acquire Saudi gold before vacation periods and when they travel to their home countries.

In a tour of the Saudi Press Agency to gold shops and galleries in the city of Al-Baha, which is witnessing a high demand for purchases by women and young men about to get married, some sellers and exhibition owners gave various advice to those wishing to buy.

The seller, Issa bin Ali, believes that he should refrain from buying gold that is very busy and colored. Because when there is a need for sale, there is a loss and it loses its purchasing value and is not compensated, even with a small part of the amount paid, stressing the importance of knowing the price of a gram of gold and its caliber before buying, and noting writing the karat number and type on the gold pieces.

He added, “The best type of gold is 24 karat for its purity, followed by 22 karat, while 18 karat is considered the lowest quality due to the large number of impurities in it, and the demand in the market is currently increasing for 21 karat.” of his weight.

He noted that gold purchases increased with the approach of Eid.
