A beautiful appreciation of the man who staved off a bunch of development so Biscayne Bay could become a national park. Full of @WLRN‘s @jenstaletovich‘s signature vivid imagery and her own love of this sparkling and troubled marine ecosystem. Lloyd Miller was 100.

It’s hard to imagine what South Florida would look like without @BiscayneNPS or all the other wild places Lloyd Miller helped protect. The scale is pretty immense. His influence was also felt in small ways. It’s worth listening to park ranger Gary Bremen describe that.
