Neil Uditsky Death – Dead | Obituary – Passed Away
Neil Uditsky Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Neil Uditsky.
We are heartbroken to hear that our dear friend and pillar of our community, Neil Uditsky z”l, tragically passed away yesterday. Our community shines a little less bright today.
Neil was a professional volunteer at Federation CJA for over 30 years. He chaired the FEDNext Campaign during his university years, the Young Leadership Campaign in 2008, and was the Chair of YAD Montreal and CJA’s Network, to name just a few of the leadership roles he undertook.
Neil lived and breathed community. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Baruch Dayan Ha’emet.
May his family know no more sorrow and may they be comforted with the Mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
We are devastated to share the news that our great friend and colleague Neil Uditsky passed away last night. Our thoughts are with Neil’s wonderful partner and children, along with all of his loved ones.

The extraordinary contributions he made to the well-being of of our community will be felt for many years to come.”Neil will be dearly missed. May his memory forever be a blessing.
Neil Uditsky was truly one of a kind, larger than life, and once you met him you would never forget his incredible smile or how he would fill a room, any room, with his presence. He had an amazing knowledge, understanding and passion for all that is Community, with a capital C.
I loved working with him for many years, because he made all of us better.
My heart breaks for his kids, the whole Uditsky family and his wonderful father Richard. He will never be forgotten. BDE
So many of us are numb today with the news of the passing of Neil Uditsky. So many community touches. He had my Campaign card for years, being together at YCC and his boasting about defeating the staff in baseball when he was a CIT in 1988 (and me repeating that the game was still under protest 32 years later). I was just reminded that he was a CIT on B&C that summer as well, I don’t remember whether I left all the canoes and kayaks for him to put away at the end of the day as part of his evaluation of course. He helped coordinate having the Joe Beef guys participate against the Habs alumni in my first years doing Hockey de Rue. He worked on the Montreal Jewish Hereditary Disease Fund way back because he wanted to make a difference to ensure that no child would be born in Montreal again with a genetic disease. Probably one of the 2 dozen or so adults who would greet me with a hearty “Bobo” to this day even in a downtown boardroom. He really was larger than life in both Montreal and more recently in Toronto. My deepest sympathies to his family especially his awesome kids.
Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.
