Harvey Horwood Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Harvey Horwood.
The Twillingate Combines would like to send our deepest condolences to the Horwood family.
Harvey Horwood played many seasons with the Combines, most notably captaining the team to three consecutive all Newfoundland Championships. Horwood was known as a passionate leader on and off the ice and his fierce competitiveness was feared around the league.
Horwood has his #17 banner hanging in the rafters of The George where he will forever be honored.
Gone but never to be forgotten.

Saddened to hear of the passing of a great guy and solid individual. I have such fond memories of Harvey Horwood of Twillingate while broadcasting the senior hockey final Twillingate and Grand Falls-Windsor. He was so much fun to be around.
